Course Content: This course is designed to provide a basic overview of current business and information systems trends as they apply to web design. The curriculum introduces the concepts and skills used to create web pages and web sites using HTML and web editors. Skills using the internet as a productive business tool will be learned and improved. Emphasis is given on good page layout from the perspective of commercial web site design. Dreamweaver MX software is introduced for students to utilize HTML code, image editing, and web page design. Topics include:
Make-up Work: Students will have 2 days to make-up any class work that was missed due to an excused or unexcused absence. Please see me for make-up work. Grading Policy: Evaluation: Daily Assignments, Class Participation, Projects, Quizzes and Test Grading Scale: According to Broward County Grading Policies Homework/Class Preparation Policy: Students must bring all necessary supplies to class each day. This includes Monarch Planner, paper, pen, pencil, and secondary storage device (CDRW or Flash Drive) for all documents. Students will be assigned a folder to hold any printed projects, test, and/or quizzes. Academic Integrity: Students are expected to uphold the Knights’ Code. Students will assume full responsibility for the content and integrity of the academic work they submit. The guiding principle shall be that a student’s submitted work must be his or her own work. |
