Welcome to the Castle!

It is a pleasure to welcome you to the 2008-09 school year and to congratulate all students, faculty, staff, parents and community on the “A” rating that Monarch High School received as part of the 2008 Florida Accountability System. Earning the prestigious “A” rating is a credit to the focus, hard work and array of learning opportunities that exist in the Monarch castle. It is our belief that all students have a right to an education that challenges their minds and prepares them for today and tomorrow. The responsibility to provide that challenging environment drives the decisions we make everyday.

Monarch High School is a composite of people who believe that the strongest future comes from the foundation of education. At Monarch, we know that working together to achieve goals benefits everyone. We invite parents and community to participate in the educational environment through direct communication with teachers and staff and as members of our advisory/community groups such as PTSA, SAC and SAF. We encourage parents to visit our website often and attend curricular and extra-curricular activities as often as possible.

As we begin the new year, we recognize that we must continue our focus on curriculum based learning through 21st Century technologies and experiences. We recognize that we must encourage students to use multiple modalities for learning and to spend time reading for knowledge, information and pleasure at every opportunity. Through these efforts, we expect continued growth in student achievement benchmarks and a bright future for all Monarch students.
